Ancestral Lantern Workshop
On Tuesday 2nd October at 6pm come and join our resident artist Adam Billington and take part in a collaborative project with Dear Tomorrow and Boundary Way.
In this workshop we will explore our feelings on becoming good ancestors for our future generations in the year 2050. We will then create magical lanterns with messages on to those future generations that will become part of exhibition happening later in the year.
The lanterns and idea for this workshop are inspired by the Japanese festival Toro Nagashi which literally means floating lanterns. These festivals happen every august where lost loved ones are remembered and the lanterns are floated on rivers and waterways.
This event is open to all ages and we especially welcome families. We are offering it free of charge though we do encourage a donation if you are able.
