A Million Acts of Hope

We are delighted to announce that we are joining in with A Million Acts of Hope:

A Million Acts of Hope is a national invitation to celebrate the everyday acts of kindness, care and connection happening across the UK. At a time when division can feel loud, we want to bring together all these everyday acts of hope and shine a light on the people and communities making them happen.

Week of Action: 13-20 May 4 From 13-20th May, events will take place across the country, celebrating positive actions among communities. During this week, hundreds of charities, faith groups, and community groups will inspire their supporters to get involved. Visit Million Acts of Hope to see all the projects joining in.

So what is Gatis doing for the Week of Action?

Well, we are giving you 3 late afternoon/early evening events to celebrate some of our regular projects:

Wednesday 13th May, 3pm to 6pm  Celebrating our grounds, family play sessions, youth club and caring for nature.  Held in the grounds of the centre we will play a range of team and individual games lead by our youth club team and have pop up nature based activities.

Thursday 14th May 3pm to 6pm Celebrating Wolves Waste Not – our environmental projects with a pop up Surplus Food Market & Swap Event for clothing, books, plants and seeds plus access to enjoy the grounds.

Friday 15th May 3pm to 6pm  Celebrating our wonderfully diverse community with a camp fire Public Living Room:  a space for people to come, have a free cup of tea and biscuit and a chance to just chat to each other and make connections. Time to find commonality and make new friends.  At this event in particular we’d like to see as many of our community friends as possible.
