Gatis Youth Club is held on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 5pm – 8pm. for young people aged 9-16 from Whitmore Reans and Wolverhampton. It provides a space for local young people aged 9-16t to feel welcomed and to have the opportunity to experience and try new skills and activities. They are encouraged to play and socialise, building understanding between different cultural groups and raising awareness and community pride. Ultimately having a possitive impact on the local area and improving the overall perspective of young people in Whitmore Reans and how they support their community.
We encourage free play in our unique green space whilst also providing opportunities to engage in games, workshops, activities and sometimes even trips!
We use the Gatis Ethos of Being Human, The Arts and Our Environment to develop projects for young people to participate in. This includes games, sports, arts and craft, drama (including our annual Christmas Panto that is performed during our Light Walk event in December) Permaculture- recycling, repurposing, gardening, and more.
